Regular meditation classes
Gen Kelsang Demo and class assistant Craig Morrison lead the drop-in meditation class at Feilding Community House, 131 Manchester Street, on Monday nights @ 7:00 - 8:30 pm 
The class includes guided meditations, teachings, discussion and the chance to stay for refreshments afterwards. You can speak to Gen Demo on 06 355 3524 or email Amitabha Centre if you have any questions, but there is no need to book - everyone is welcome. The practice of meditation is very extensive. Gen Demo will explain how we can hold peace of mind and engage in meditation while we are going about our normal day to day activities. Everyone is welcome. There is a warm welcome to those who have not taken part in a meditation class before.
Regular term 2 classes begin Monday 23 August. They will be based on How to Solve our Human Problems by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
In these classes we shall consider how in this busy world, our experiences of happiness are fleeting and short-lived, while inner peace eludes us completely.Our negative states of mind such as uncontrolled desire and anger, create endless problems for ourselves and others and prevent us from fulfilling our deepest wishes. The teachings and meditations will be of a practical nature with direct application to daily life.
