new zealand dharma celebration

Free Your Mind
21 – 24 April, 2017

Every year practitioners from Aotearoa/NZ and beyond gather together for this special event, to receive practical, inspiring teachings and meet spiritual friends. Whether new to Buddhism or an experienced practitioner, everyone is welcome to this extended weekend celebration, which provides a great opportunity to take time out of the hurly-burly of life and really savour the teachings and ceremonies.

This year the celebration will be held at the Brookfield Outdoor Education Centre, in Wainuiomata (pictured left) - a really beautiful place to escape to!

If you are interested in finding out more, or perhaps going to the celebration; you can go to this page:; or talk with our resident teacher Gen Kelsang Demo.

international festivals

International Kadampa Festivals are special courses taught by the Spiritual Director and Deputy Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition.

The Festivals include teachings and empowerments from the principal Teacher, reviews and meditations led by senior NKT Teachers, chanted meditations and offering ceremonies, and retreats to consolidate and deepen your understanding and experience.

Open to everyone, these International Festivals are a wonderful opportunity to meet with Buddhist practitioners from all over the world and share experience and understanding with them.
