The practice of meditation is very extensive. Gen Demo will explain how we can hold peace of mind and engage in meditation while we are going about our normal day to day activities. Everyone is welcome. There is a warm welcome to those who have not taken part in a meditation class before.
Term 2 regular weekly classes with Jan Mc Pherson start Monday 23 August. They will be based on How to Solve our Human Problems by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
In these classes, we shall consider how in this busy world, our experiences of happiness are fleeting and short-lived, while inner peace eludes us. Our negative states of mind, such as uncontrolled desire and anger create endless problems for ourselves and others and prevent us from fulfilling our deepest wishes. The teachings and meditations will be of a practical nature with direct application to daily life.
