Gen Demo teaches the weekly drop-in meditation classes at the Amitabha Centre, level 1 345 Broadway Ave, Terrace End, Palmerston North (Ph 06 355 3524)
Wednesday nights @ 7:00 - 8:30 pm
The class includes guided meditations, teachings, discussion and the chance to have refreshments afterwards. You can contact Gen Demo or e-mail Amitabha Centre for further information.
There is no need to book - everyone is welcome.
Jan, who is the class assistant will greet you when you arrive and make sure you are comfortable if you are coming for the first time.
The suggested donation is $12 per class or $40 for four sessions.

"Meditations for Daily Living" 7.00 - 8.30pm.
The practice of meditation is very extensive. Gen Demo will explain how we can hold peace of mind and engage in meditation while we are going about our normal day to day activities. Everyone is welcome. There is a warm welcome to those who have not taken part in a meditation class before.
Term 2 classes will be based on How to Solve Our Human Problems by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
In these classes we shall consider how in our busy modern world, our experiences of happiness are fleeting and short-lived, while stable inner peace eludes us. Our uncontrolled states of mind such as desire and anger, create endless problems for ourselves and others and prevent us from fulfilling our deepest wishes.The teachings and meditations will be of a practical nature with direct application to daily life.
