Emptiness is the way things really are. It is the way things exist as opposed to the way they appear.

Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Modern Buddhism

In Buddha’s teachings on Emptiness he explained the way things actually exist as opposed to the way they appear. This knowledge gives us great power to free ourselves from every difficulty because the problems we face in life, which seem so solid and real, when seen through the eyes of wisdom will disappear into emptiness like last night’s bad dream. The wisdom of emptiness liberates us, and makes our life unbelievably free and joyful.

On this one day guided retreat Birgit, our resident teacher, will teach and guide simple yet profound meditations on emptiness.

We will gain experience of the astounding beauty and power of these meditations to transform our life and bring real benefit to ourselves and others.

“…in this experience everything becomes peaceful and comfortable, balanced and harmonious, joyful and wonderful….everything is equal in the peace of emptiness…”  -  Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Modern Buddhism
