Finding a sense of meaning in life can feel a little challenging.
At some time or another, most of us ask ourselves - who we are, where we are going, and who we really want to be. These aren’t new questions - but sometimes they feel difficult and the answers can seem elusive. Sometimes, we may just feel that even though everything is ticking along OK - that something is missing.
The first week of the International Dharma Festival in England this year provided an overview of key Buddhist ideas and meditations which can help us find meaning in life, and become happier, more peaceful and more compassionate in all aspects of our complicated lives.
Gen Kelsang Demo has attended teacher training at Manjushri followed by the festival for the last 15 years; Jan was there at the festival for the first time. Together they will provide some of the highlights, key meditations and teachings that touched them at the festival this year - and give you an overview of how Kadampa Buddhism may help us deal with those tricky questions.
