healing ourselves and others: medicine buddha empowerment and retreat; palmerston north : november 5 & 6

who is medicine buddha?

Medicine Buddha is the embodiment of all enlightened healing energy, and whose blessings help release us from our inner and outer sickness. When we rely on Medicine Buddha, we can find relief from mental and physical disease, including the diseases of attachment, anger and ignorance. We can also receive protection from danger and obstacles. And – if we are willing to work at the deepest levels of body and mind – we can remove the most subtle causes of illness through the practice of Medicine Buddha.

It is said that the power of this practice becomes greater as confusion and conflict in this world increase, so this practice is especially vital for us now.

what is an empowerment?

An empowerment is a blissful guided meditation through which we make a special, heart-felt connection with a particular Buddha and receive their inspiration and blessings.

When we rely on the Medicine Buddha this helps us connect with our own potential to become enlightened, and use our energy and wisdom to bring peace and healing to ourselves and others.

  • In the empowerment and teachings on Saturday, Birgit explain the process, and guide us through meditations which will deepen our connection with Medicine Buddha through which we will be able to heal ourselves and others.
  • During the retreat on Sunday, we will be guided through the chanted prayer and meditation practices of Medicine Buddha.

Everyone is welcome.
