peaceful mind, peaceful life: half-day workshop: july 18: palmerston north

Some of our habits of mind are really unhelpful! We can gently learn to change them, using meditation.

Imagine if we could change our bad habits of mind and attain inner peace… no matter what is happening in our life. The main cause of real happiness is inner peace. And, tbh, we can forget about relying on anything else!

The good news is that we can learn to develop and maintain a peaceful mind all the time, opening doors we never knew were there. Buddha taught that happiness is a state of mind, so its real causes must come from within the mind. If we can gain better control over our mind we will not be so over-reactive to things that normally disturb our inner peace.

This half-day workshop will consist of practical teachings and meditations that simply help us to change old habits, and choose to follow ideas and thoughts that help us stay peaceful and feel a deeper sense of happiness. This course is open to anyone who wishes to gain an introduction to Buddhism and meditation, as well as for those who wish to deepen their experience.
